By now you probably know that the 1040 filing and payment deadlines have been delayed to July 15th, but what about your state return?
According to information compiled by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as of 4/7/2020 all states with a personal income tax have extended their 4/15 deadline.
The majority of states have extended the filing and payment deadline for personal income tax to 7/15, while the following states have chosen an alternate deadline:
Iowa, 7/31
Hawaii, 7/20
Idaho, 6/15
Mississippi, 5/15
Virginia, filing to 5/1, payment to 6/1
Puerto Rico, 6/15
